You have just found the website for Ozaukee County's only independently owned bead and yarn shop! Located right on the main street in Cedarburg, we have over 2600 square feet of beading and knitting supplies!

Since 1998, Giralté Gems and Beads has been a haven for beaders, crafters and jewelry artists. Operating in the heart of Historic Cedarburg's quaint shopping district, we offer an extensive and visually stunning selection to choose from. Whet your appetite for creativity with our large selection of semi-precious gemstones, Thai/Bali Sterling, Swarovski crystal, Dichroic & hand blown glass pendants, and more than 250 colors of Miyuki Delica cylinder beads. Then peruse our aisles for intriguing findings of bone, wood, antiqued brass, cloissoné and many other treasures!

Just 20 minutes north of Milwaukee in downtown Cedarburg, we are located near the intersection of Washington and Columbia. We have free customer parking behind the store.
Directions from I-43  -  Exit #89 for Cedarburg, Turn West, follow this road (Pioneer) to Washington Avenue and Turn Right, Turn Right at the stoplight for Colombia Road, Turn Right onto Portland Road, and an Immediate Right into our back parking lot.

As of 2007, all former punch cards are expired.

The bar-coded membership card is scanned in on every visit.

OPEN BEADING AND KNITTING

Did you know that every Thursday and Friday from 6-8 PM we have open beading and knitting NO CHARGE.
We also have open knitting on Wednesdays from 1 to 3 PM.
STILL NO CHARGE!
This is not a class, but we do help each other though problems and share tips and tricks. Bring your project and sit and relax with us. No gossiping please!

We have started a "Community Comfort Shawl" at the store.

Knitters are encouraged to knit a row (or more) whenever they are in the neighborhood. I encourage those who don't knit to drop off extra yarn for future shawls. The need for these shawls is non-ending and they do indeed provide emormous "comfort" to both the clients and their families. Please join me in sharing our ART with this community.

In our store, there is a basket of yarn with this message on it:

Please knit a row on this Comfort Shawl.
Use a different yarn for each row.
Leave a long beginning and ending tail. The tails will become fringe when the shawl is complete.
When finished, the shawl will be donated to Horizon Home Care and Hospice, to be gifted to one of their clients.

PRIVATE LESSONS & PARTIES


Private Lessons

(1 to 2 people) are available from the staff at $32/hr per person, and from the Owner, Marge Giralté at $40/hr per person. Please allow at least one week in advance to arrange a timeslot. Payment is required at time of reservation. We offer beginner to advanced classes!  Any of the classes pictured online may be booked as a private lesson for $10 more than the price shown.
 

Reserve a party in our store!

We will do parties for age groups 4-8, 8-12 and 13-17, with a minimum of 5 children and a maximum of 15. The fee is $10 per child, plus the price of the kit. We are happy to work with you to create kits within your budget. The guest of honor receives his or her kit for free, and each child goes home with a goody bag containing beads and other surprises.

Party must be booked at least 2 weeks in advance, and one adult must be present until all children have left the premises. Leave your name and number with one of our staff and our party coordinator will call you to book the party. The reservation is not confirmed until all fees have been paid.

Mid March and Mid August, Stand and Skein Sale: 1/2 off all stands of beads and 25% off all skeins of yarn.

1st week in May, Anniversary Sale: 10% off everything in the store except finished jewelry and consignment items.
